Food carts in Walt Disney World are part of the overall experience, but they never get planned for. They are a convenient place to pick up a quicks snack, dessert or even a small meal while on the go. However, these on the go type quick service locations are becoming more interesting and unique. Here are some of the best Disney World food carts and food trucks for those unplanned moments of hunger.
Fantasy Fare
It’s not exactly a secret that some foods that Disneyland absolutely nails, just don’t quite make the grade at Disney World. The Churro is one of these items; but perhaps even more so, depending on the fan, are the corn dogs. At least, that was until Fantasy Fare opened! The Disney Springs food truck brings what west coast fans have loved about Disneyland’s hand-dipped corn dogs to the east coast. This is a must stop for corn dog lovers. Now if they could just make a fresh churro…
Gourmet Popcorn
This one of a kind popcorn cart in Future World West is located just outside the Land Pavilion on the path to the Imagination Pavilion. The cart sells three unique flavors of popcorn that you can’t get anywhere else. I’m sure it served as inspiration for Kora’s Kettle, the three flavor popcorn mix that Galaxy’s Edge will sell. These varieties are Cheddar, Buffalo, and Sour Cream and Chive. Yes, you can get them mixed together if you can’t decide.
Just a little past the showcase plaza, outside the Canada Pavilion is another popcorn cart worth mentioning. This one serves maple popcorn, and it really is a must if you like sweet popcorn or maple anything.
Anandapur
This food truck in Animal Kingdom gets extra points just for how elaborate it is. This is one ice cream truck you are not likely to miss. It’s a simple soft serve window that serves cones and floats, but if you like adult beverages, you have to try the Black Cherry Hard Cider Float available here.
4 Rivers Cantina Barbacoa Food Truck
Back at Disney Springs is this too good to be a true Mexican food truck in the Marketplace section near Town Center? This is more than just a snack. You can have a full meal; starting with their amazing taco cone. 4 Rivers also serves Dulce de Leche Churro Balls for dessert. No matter what sort of hungry you are, This truck is one to stop at for a substantial snack that is both unique and familiar.
Trilo-Bites
This food cart, like the rest of Dinoland USA, is all too easy to shrug off and ignore, but there is more to these places than mere appearance. Trilobites has a menu that changes from time to time but one thing that is pretty consistent in their focus on Buffalo Chicken. You can get Buffalo Chicken chips for a hearty snack with a little kick, or you can cool down with a Scrooge McDuck Billionaire Sundae. The latter comes topped with bacon and caramel.
