How Much Are Disney World Tickets Is a Question on Traveler’s Minds

As with anything entertainment related, Disney World tickets are not inexpensive. But there is value in the price if you consider all that you are buying with the admission price. There are four parks at Disney World: Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

Walt Disney World opened in 1971 and included one single theme park, the Magic Kingdom. Today, the Florida resort near Orlando has four theme parks, two water parks, tons of hotels, shopping, dining, and many other fun diversions. Through the years, the prices of Disney’s tickets and park passes have grown as has everything else we purchase.

The cost for a one-day, one-park ticket for ages 10 and older has been as high as $159 (at time of publication) and keep in mind that the price is subject to change at all times. Admission is free for children under the age of 3. It’s important to understand how Disney World’s ticket program works and we break that down here.

Travelers Want to Know How Much Are Disney World Tickets

In the beginning the prices for Disney World tickets were uniform but in 2016 a variable pricing model was implemented, similar to airlines and hotels which charge more during peak seasons. The prices listed below represent the lowest prices at the least busy times of the year.

Disney World has two ticket categories: One for ages 10 and older and one for ages 3 to 9.

The most basic ticket allows a user to visit one of Disney World’s four theme parks in one day. The more days you purchase, the lower the cost per day. For example, if a one-day ticket is $109, the per-day price can drop to $88 with a five-day ticket.

How Much Are Disney World Tickets Is Something We Investigate

For roughly $70 more, you can upgrade your 1 Park Per Day ticket and get a Water Park and Sports Option ticket. This enables you to visit one theme park per day, plus you could also visit Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park, Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park, the NBA Experience at Disney Springs, ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, the 9-hole Disney’s Oak Trail Golf Course or Disney’s two mini-golf courses.

The Park Hopper Option allows you to visit multiple parks each day. Based on estimates, you might be able to visit all four parks in two days for as low as $288, or $72 per park. Park Hopper Plus tickets also allow park hopping among the theme parks.

Disney World offers discounted tickets for Florida residents on its website and there are special discounts for military members and their families. Check the resort’s website or your travel agent for more information.
