When visiting EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Magic Kingdom or Disney’s Animal Kingdom, there is always plenty to do. However, people tend to head for the more popular Disney World attractions, like Pirates of the Caribbean, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, Frozen Ever After and more.
However, while obviously, these attractions are exciting and thrilling, they are also popular with other guests. This can lead to major queues for each attraction, while there are many other excellent choices to make. Let’s have a look at five other Disney Park attractions that you might have missed before, but really shouldn’t have.
1. Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover
For instance, guests in Tomorrowland tend to head to popular attractions like Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin or the popular Space Mountain. However, the land has other equally impressive attractions that often get overlooked.
Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover is one attraction that should not be missed on a visit to Tomorrowland. The elevated tram ride offers guests a bird’s eye view of all the Tomorrowland attractions.
Even better, PeopleMover is the ideal attraction to take guests off their feet for a while, as they relax among all the action in the park. While enjoying the narrated tour, guests can go behind the scenes of the popular attractions like Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin, the Star Traders retail shop and Space Mountain.
Meanwhile, riding the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover at night, you will get spectacular views over Cinderella’s lit-up Castle. Besides the castle, you can see the rest of Tomorrowland prettily lit up for the evening.
2. Disney’s Animal Kingdom: Rafiki’s Planet Watch
Disney’s Animal Kingdom is popular with guests for its state-of-the-art Pandora Land, with its Avatar Flight of Passage, the exciting Expedition Everest and Kilimanjaro Safaris. Obviously, these are great attractions, but there is one experience many guests miss out on while visiting the Disney Park, Rafiki’s Planet Watch.
Guests board the Wildlife Express Train for a relaxing, seven-minute journey to Rafiki’s Planet Watch. As inferred by the name, this is an area dedicated to the preservation and conservation of animals.
Here, visitors get a close-up look into the inner workings of Disney’s Animal Kingdom park. More than that, guests can enjoy amazing educational activities for all ages. On the journey, guests travel past animal housing and veterinary facilities for the resident elephants, rhinos and more. Here, the whole family can explore Affection Section, which consists of a petty zoo, an outdoor discovery trail and Conservation Station, an animal care facility and Habitat Habit!
Meanwhile, after the visit to Rafiki’s Planet Watch, guests once again board the Wildlife Express Train for their ride back to Harambe, Africa.
3. Disney’s Hollywood Studios Entertainment Shows
Many guests skip the entertainment shows while heading to their favorite attractions. However, Disney’s Hollywood Studios hosts two, world-class outdoor theater shows that really shouldn’t be missed. Several months ago, the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular was reintroduced to the Disney Park. This stunt show offers guests a behind-the-scenes look into how stunts are performed on movie sets.
Guests can watch live as the daring duo battles the bad guys, dodges deadly traps and leaps from tall buildings. The duo makes thrilling escapes that come straight out of Raiders of the Lost Ark. Meanwhile, along the way, the show tells a great story with a dramatic finale.
Meanwhile, on the other side of Disney’s Hollywood Studios on Sunset Boulevard is Beauty and the Beast Live on Stage. The much-loved and heartwarming story of Belle and the Beast comes to life in this incredible stage performance. With beautiful scenery, colorful costumes and all the songs people have come to love, this live show will once again sweep guests away.
5. Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor
Guests who often visit Walt Disney World Resort might be surprised to see this attraction on the list. Meanwhile, the Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor is located at the entrance to Tomorrowland. While many guests skip the experience, anyone that does visit basically loves it.
According to the official Disney description, Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor is a “monstrously funny show.” This is the only laugh factory in Monstropolis and features a comedy club, hosted by Monster of Ceremonies, Mike Wazowski. The “scare-acters” in the show love to engage the audience, meaning guests could easily become a part of the show.
Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor was inspired by the Disney and Pixar animated films Monsters, Inc., and Monsters University. In fact, it is an attraction that truly scares up some monster laughs.
