Disney Cruise Line is set to sail to Australia and New Zealand for the first time. This move will bring “Disney Magic at Sea” cruises to a brand new audience and offer a new adventure Down Under. Cruises are set to start in late October 2023.
Meanwhile, this wasn’t the only good news from Disney, as we reported yesterday that the cruise line is unveiling its new mega-ship, Disney Treasure. Disney Cruise Line to sail to Australia and New Zealand
The latest in good news from Disney Cruise Line is that new destinations are being added to their already exciting itineraries. The company is getting ready to sail Down Under to Australia and New Zealand, starting in late October 2023. The announcement was made at the D23 Expo to a full audience of Disney fans.
At the event, Disney Parks, Experiences, and Products Chairman Josh D’Amaro said in a statement:
We are so glad to bring something new to those who may have never experienced this type of Disney magic before.
Disney Magic at Sea cruises
In fact, the Disney Wonder is set to embark on Disney Magic at Sea cruises through February 2024. There will be a range to choose from with sails from two to six nights, and departing from four home ports: Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane, Australia; and Auckland, New Zealand.
Each of these limited-time voyages is specially curated to immerse guests from Down Under in their favorite Disney, Pixar, Marvel, and Star Wars, stories. Meanwhile, these characters will be enjoyed through great entertainment, dining and experiences on every cruise.
South Pacific itineraries
During the repositioning voyages between Honolulu, Hawaii, and Sydney, Australia in October 2023 and February 2024, new itineraries will be available. In fact, the Disney Wonder will be able to offer the cruise line’s first-ever South Pacific itineraries. On these new sailings, the ship’s guests will have the chance to experience beautiful destinations like Fiji and Samoa.

Excitement over Disney Treasure
The new Down Under and South Pacific itineraries weren’t the only good news at the D23 Expo. Disney Cruise Line also unveiled its new mega-ship, the Disney Treasure. The Aladdin-inspired ship will be the sixth in the cruise line’s impressive fleet.
Meanwhile, the Triton-class ship features beloved characters from one of the Disney classic films, Aladdin. In fact, a golden statue will be a grand feature in the ship’s impressive Grand Hall, depicting Aladdin and Jasmine on their magic flying carpet.
Don’t be in too much of a hurry, though, as the Disney Treasure is only scheduled for delivery in 2024.
